In Palma Bread's bakeries in Mallorca, a holistic experience is served that appeals to all senses; premium bread in a premium environment, accompanied by premium sound from speaker manufacturer Audio Pro.
On beautiful Mallorca in the western Mediterranean, you can find three unique artisan bakeries that serve Swedish bread and pastries to delighted islanders and tourists. The bakeries are unique in the sense that they serve high-quality bread according to Swedish recipes, which previously could not be found on the Spanish market. The breads are baked with sourdough and only from the finest ingredients.
Jeff Carling, owner of Palma Bread, says; "When we started our bakery in 2019, we found that there was a lack of good bread in Spain, and we therefore wanted to open a bakery according to a Swedish concept with really good bread and pastries. It was important to us that everything was baked from high-quality products and from the best ingredients. And we also wanted these to be offered in a beautiful and inviting environment. So we hired an interior design company from Stockholm, Visual Motor, to help us design an interior that would give our customers the right feeling when they visit us."
"In the brief to the interior design company, we made it clear that it was important to have music as one of the key components of this inviting environment. Visual Motor suggested that we use Audio Pro Business speakers that can be mounted in the ceiling in the same electrical rails that you use to connect the lighting fixture,” explains Jeff Carling. "To be honest, you don't want to see neither speakers nor cables, you just want to have nice sound. And these speakers, I must say, play really well even though being so small. And it's very nice not having to see any ugly wiring. The optimal speaker is, after all, a speaker that plays ample sound without taking up any space.”
Our plans went really well, and now we have opened a third bakery in Mallorca. And in all of our bakeries, both in the café section and in the bread shop, you will find speakers from Audio Pro. Jeff Carling concludes: “Personally, I think that background music is very important to create an atmosphere in a shop or cafe. But just as important as the customer having a positive experience during their visit, we think it is important that the staff enjoy themselves, and here the music undeniably contributes."
